About Us
For more than 50 years, Laborers’ Home Development Corporation (LHDC), an affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Midwest Region, has developed, owned, managed, and preserved quality affordable housing across the Midwest.
Our commitment doesn’t end when construction is complete. As a nonprofit affordable housing organization and experienced property management provider, LHDC remains invested in the long-term success of our communities by providing professional management, responsible stewardship, quality maintenance, and safe, welcoming homes for individuals, families and seniors.
Today, LHDC has 14 developments totaling more than 910 affordable homes, including housing for individuals, families, independent seniors, and seniors who need supportive living services.
We don’t just develop affordable housing. We build communities and care for them – for the long term.
